On July 4, 2025, President Trump signed a new law, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.” The Act includes new fees for certain immigration applications which take effect immediately. These new fees are in addition to the existing fees you already pay. On July 9, EOIR announced that it will begin collecting immigration court filing and appeals fees. On July 18, USCIS announced that fees for asylum, work authorization documents, temporary protected status, and special immigrant juveniles will be required with applications filed on or after July 22. The collection of the other fees listed below is delayed until the government updates the payment process. Most of these fees cannot be waived or reduced and these fees will increase annually due to inflation.

Below is a chart showing the various fees from the Act. Please note that the chart in this flyer only outlines the additional fees introduced by H.R. 1; it does not factor in the filing fees that already existed before H. R. 1. If you think these fee increases might affect you, please contact an immigration attorney.
